Elgin Cool Wine & Country Festival

May 1, 2020 - May 2, 2020

Elgin Grabouw Tourism is delighted to announce the Elgin Cool Wine & Country Festival will be on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of May 2020 – proudly sponsored by NEDBANK.

Elgin’s wine farms are pulling out all the stops to offer two wine-packed days that showcase why the Elgin Valley has become renowned as the home of South African cool climate wines. Visit each of the participating wine farms to taste their exceptional wines and enjoy exclusive festival opportunities such as guided tastings with winemakers, big bottle tastings and cellar tours.

A Feast of Festival Fun

Feast on a variety of delicious fare at each farm and join in the fun activities before heading to the Elgin Railway Market on Saturday evening for the “After Party”. The market’s vendors will be open along with live music and a charity auction.

Our valley is family-friendly with plenty of festival activities for children.   With a focus on family fun, each farm catered to the needs of young visitors too. There were children’s activities a-plenty, play areas, petting zoos and, of course, large rolling lawns perfect for playing. Furry friends also received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed all the freedoms offered by the picturesque countryside.Friendly dogs are welcome at a number of participating farms (please bring a leash).

Ticket sales are live at …

Tickets are on sale via Quicket – a two-day pass is R230 and a one-day pass is R180. “After Party” tickets are R150 per person – available online and at the door on the night. Children under the age of 18 accompanied by an adult attend for free. The Peregrine Farm Stall and Elgin Railway Market are the collection points for wristbands, festival maps and tasting glasses.

Responsible Drinking Campaign
