HEMEL-EN-AARDE PINOT NOIR CELEBRATION 2020

Each year, world-renowned winemakers, wine influencers, esteemed media, epicures and wine lovers flock to the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde to explore and celebrate our famous Pinot Noirs. This year will be no different as we put our focus specifically on celebrating Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noirs , their proprietors and winemakers.
The 7th Annual Pinot Noir Celebration, Under Pinot Skies takes place over two days from the 24th to the 25th of January 2020 with an unparalleled programme.
FRIDAY: With true Hemel-en-Aarde hospitality, guests will be welcomed to ‘Pinot Noir Paradise’ for registration at Nidderdale Farm. Pinot Friends will be presented with older vintages Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noirs, carefully selected International Pinot Noirs and selections from private cellars. The evening’s food and wine experience will set the tone for a great adventure to follow.
SATURDAY: Guests will be swept off on a day of true discovery through the three very unique and distinctive appellations i.e. Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge.
A tasting and tour in each appellation with their viticulturists, winemakers and guest speakers (Higgo Jacobs, Miguel Chan and Rosa Kruger), will showcase the most current vintage of Pinot Noir from soil to glass. Touch the soil, feel the breeze and taste the wines that we craft so carefully from these beautiful terroirs.
After enjoying a lovely harvest-style lunch, guests will have a short break to freshen up for our yearly grand finale dinner. During a ‘Taste of Hemel-en-Aarde’, acclaimed chef, Jason Lilley will take the reins to showcase some of the best Hemel-en-Aarde produce available.
Tickets for the full two day event is R2995 and guests that are unable to join us for the full weekend, can attend the A Taste of Hemel-en-Aarde dinner for R795. Tickets can be purchased from the Pinot Noir Celebration website.
